My first reaction on visiting Virasat E Khalsa in Anandpur Sahib was to ask a question- how do these chimney shapes represent or recall the amazing heritage of the Khalsa? May be the learned Israeli archtect knows...
It reminds me of another chimney- made to sit on top of a building in Chandigarh by that over rated architect Le Corbusier. I wonder why are the Western architects so fascinated by chimneys? If one moves around in Punjab, the only chimneys that one finds are in power plants.......
The flashy colour schemes inside the galleries were too kitschy.
My bottom line....we could have done much better....
