The Guwahati Shocker

I remember having seen a film over a decade and a half back in which Dimple Kapadia/Khanna plays the role of a tough lady cop. Three goondas rape her. She decides to teach them a lesson with the help of a lady doctor friend. They manage to catch hold of the three, one by one and castrate them. I was quite taken aback by the fact that the censor board had cleared the film. In India the British ruled us with the help of the dreaded 'Indian Whipping Act of 1864'. After gaining Independence, this enactment was repealed in 1955. Now my take on the subject of rape/molestation/outraging the modesty of a woman and even such an attempt: (i) Make castration of those found guilty a compulsory punishment, and (ii) Reintroduce whipping as a punishment in such cases with a compusory award of minimum ten lashes, and (iii)Telecast the photo of the person given such punishment on the National Tv informing the viewers that this person has been found guilty of this offence and as a punishment he has been castrated and given the sentence of whipping. By the way Singapore has mandatory punishment of whipping for defacing public building (graffiti etc.)and in Malaysia all illegal immigrants are compulsarily whipped.
