First it was the Facebook
Chief Mark Zuckerberg who came to India to convince us how free was the free basics and how basic were the free
basics for India’s development. We said a polite but firm ‘No thank you’.
Now comes the Apple
CEO Mr. Tim Cook. The build up this time is a little different:
(i)
He first goes and pays his obeisance at a temple in
Mumbai;
(ii)
Where he has a ‘chance meeting’ with son of one of the
top business honchos of India;
(iii)
Now he says that he has got hooked up to the IPL, and
(iv)
I bet his next
step would be to say a few words of praise for Bolloywood.
You need to change
your PR strategy Mr. Cook. The current one is too predictable.
In fact you need to keep your focus firmly on innovation and quality of products rather than moving away to PR/Publicity....
