'The Ides of March' is the  day in the Roman Calendar that corresponds to 15 March. It became  notorious as the date of  assassination of Julius Ceaser in 4 BC. A soothsayer says ‘Beware of the Ides of March’ in William Shakespeare’s play ‘Julius Ceaser’.

 

 

In more recent times, 'The Ides of March' is a 2011 American political drama film directed by and starring George Clooney. By the way, he is the husband of  the high profile British human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin.
