Bureaucratic circles are agog with excitement. A news has leaked out that besides the Porn-Ombudsman at the Centre, there would be Porn-Ombudsmen at the State level. There would be a Porn-Watch Officer in each district. Rumours have it that a Class I Service would be constituted for this.
Meanwhile the UPSC is reportedly getting ready to test candidates for their suitability to man this Service. One issue under consideration is of giving due weightage to experience of the candidates. Imagine a question "Indicate your experience (in hours) in watching porn? Aspirants too have started cramming up the life histories of porn-stars.
Weather this would be an All India Service or a Central Service, is still not clear.However what is absolutely certain is that it is going to be the most popular government service in India.
One hopes government would also consider appointing retired Officers as Consultants....Remember civil servants never retire!
