'Flying (Crawling) in anticipation... ...' by K.J.S.Chatrath

Travel/Food expert and a friend Puneetinder Kaur Sidhu www.cuttingloose.in/ ‎sent me a post a few days back informing about IRCTC's newly announced trip from Ayodhya to Sri Lanka.

My caustic comments were: "Sniffing a possible change in Government, the IRCTC babus have come out with this new idea.....".

Now today's newspaper mentions that another government undertaking is doing something exactly on the same lines. The news is (http://www.thehindu.com/business/Industry/air-india-to-fly-to-bhuj-after-12-years/article5970449.ece) that Air India has decided to resume flights of its subsidiary Air Alliance to Bhuj in Gujarat. The flight was discontinued after the terrible earthquake in 2002 and is now being re-introduced wef 15th May, 2014, just a day before the results of the general elections are to be declared!

Oh, come on! How can the babus (I am an ex-babu myself!) complain of 'political pressure' when they start flying (crawling) in anticipation, without having even been asked to walk (bend)!
