'Papa, Pappu and Development' by K.J.S.Chatrath

Pappu: Papa, Papa.

Pappa: Yes Pappu.

Pappu: I read a slogan today:
देश के   बरड्ते  कदम,
काम ज़्यादा, बातें कम.
What does it mean?

Pappa: It is too complicated. You go and finish your school homework.

'Papa, Pappu & bullet Train' by K.J.S.Chatrath

Papa: (Reading the newspaper aloud) "First Bullet Train To Run In India By 2023, Says Suresh Prabhu"

Pappu: Zooom.....Zooom. But Papa?

Papa: But, what Pappu?

Pappu: How would that reduce the price of 'daal'?

Pappa: Quiet....Go and finish your school homework.

'Common man wants daal-roti at affordable price' - by K.J.S.Chatrath

Sensex goes up and the rich are happy.

Price of 'daal' goes up and the common man is shaken though the horders/blackmarteteers are happy and even though the poor farmer does not get a remunerative fair price.

I went to buy some 'daals' this week. When I asked for urad dhuli daal as one of the daals, the shopkeeper gently cautioned me saying that it was expensive. I persisted. I realised how right he was when he gave me the bill. Rs.110/- for 500gms or Rs.220 per kilo!

दिन अच्छे हैं की नहीं, आप खुद ही फैसला कीजीये !

'Indian champion hugger' - by K.J.S.Charath

“An Indian man broke the world record by hugging 79 humans in just a minute. The Guinness Book Of World Records describes him as the   most affectionate record breaker  (https://in-mg61.mail.yahoo.com/neo/launch?.rand=4j24bm2j7hrsu#8275805081).

I would describe it as being outright silly and qualifying to be included in 'anaap-shnaap'
