'Come on Indian Railways' by K.J.S.Chatrath

Indian Railways are in the news again. Sadly, again, for wrong reasons.

I am 74+ and travel regularly on long distance trains in India, therefore I am better qualified to talk about railways than my friends who are the air borne types.

I may start by saying that I am a great admirer of Indian railways which is doing a great job of literally connecting India.

But having said that there are some problems that need to be highlighted. I have been briefly writing about some of these in my blog. Take a look:

Hon'ble Prime Minister has enthused all Indians by exorting  "Karenge aur kar ke rahenge" (करेंगे और कर के रहेंगे) 

Haryana Government too has come out with a mood brightening slogan  "Gazab Asar, Tez Raftar, Kathni Karni Ekay Saar" (गज़ब असर, तेज़ रफ़्तार, कथनी करनी एके सार)

I am sick of finding Facebook full of "inspirational " quotes, more often then not from little known C class American authors just playing with words.

Do these quotes show that person posting these is a great intellectual?  Well...well....

I am seriously thinking of un-friending all those who put inspirational quotes.....
