How much I love my India!

After wandering in the glaciers of Iceland and Greenland and the extinct and live volcanoes of Iceland, I am back to the heat and dust of my country. But I am back with a more deeper realisation -Oh, how much I love my India!

This is not quite cricket Mr. M.S.Dhoni.....

Mr. M.S.Dhoni with a pony tail/long pony tail length hair, moving around the army camps is sad... Have you seen any Lt. Col. in the Indian army sporting a pony tail/pony tail length hair flowing out of the beret.... Mr. Dhoni, if you have been honoured by the army by conferrment of this honorary rank, then please reciprocate by following the rules and traditions of the army when you move around the army units in an army uniform and rank insignia... No Mr. Dhoni, this is not quite cricket.

"Big Ben to be named Elizabeth Tower"...(news) .....and I thought that it is only in India that we name roads/bridges/towns/schemes after political big-wigs.....Btw in France one would find a Charles de Gaulle road in practically every city and town.... So 'hum sub saath-saath hain'.....

Storage of food grains

Can one not think of a simple, low cost, low technology way of storing food grains...rotting of food grains, when not every one gets a stomach full is embarrassing, to say the least...
